| Re: Do you think good pictures of a model influences its popularity and your purchase Quality photography influences my decision to buy diecast planes & tanks. For planes, PappyB's, Tricatus' and Celtic's photographs pushed me over the edge so many times I lost count. I bought a substantial chunk of PappyB's collection because of his photographs, and his pics and reviews of Dragon's P-51Ds resulted in a whole nest of them on my shelf. Tricatus helped me figure out which specific Corgi releases to buy - almost every one of my Corgi buys came after careful examination of photographs posted by Tim Healy. It would be nice if he posted an opinion of each bird in his collection, though. I'm not as much an aviation expert as some around here and flaws aren't as readily apparent to me. If I could, I'd buy these guys drinks for the time & effort they invest in their hobby. I wish I had the time (and expensive camera) with which to do the same. I always say - if you see a plane or tank in my collection that you'd like pictures of, I don't mind doing it for you to help you out. | |||||||||||||
