Re: It's a mad, mad ebay world

Well, my FW190 I threw up as an experiment -- same title, listing description, and auction requirements did not sell -- and it was up for a BIN that was $60 less than the previous one went for, and as no one bid on it at all it could have been had for $140 less.

Interesting.

Re: It's a mad, mad ebay world

Hmmm, must have just been a bidding war between a few people on the other one then and not really what most collectors think is the market value? Sorry to hear about the no sale Pappy.

No worries, as I said it was for entertainment value more than anything else -- kinda glad it didn't sell... I like it!

But for $250 I could learn to live without it!

Re: It's a mad, mad ebay world

I think at one time or another that we all have got busy bidding on something and at the end, hoping someone comes along and outbids us.

Sure, but never at %500 of current retail value

I guess it's all about the size of the wallets involved.

LOL -- I don't think I have seen a FM model with certs like that though, and I've had dozens of the things. I don't recall ever seeing a printed picture of the model like that in the cert paperwork...
