Re: Let's Go Red Wings!

Crappy triple overtime! Wings lose a perfect opportunity to close it out at home on a dumb, dumb penalty (4 minutes for slashing)! Refs looked stupid tonight with some of those goalie interference calls in overtime......Zebras suck in every sport!!!!

Oh well, just means more hockey. Go Wings.....someone throw an octopus please!!!!

Re: Let's Go Red Wings!

So I'm not the only one draggin' at work today? Was too wound up after triple OT to go to bed, so I stayed up to close to 1:30 - finally fell asleep close to 2am only to have our infant start screaming minutes after...

Still have hope though for our Wings!

Re: Let's Go Red Wings!

Draggin' is right. Man, what a sorry end that was. I really want to win at home but I don't want a game 7. Any ideas are appreciated.

Re: Let's Go Red Wings!

I hope your right Trex...After last night i can't believe what i saw ....They lost it in the closing seconds...
If they keep that up it's over....
You know they were playing under pressure big time last night and it showed.

JP, I just gotta say the Pens are not going to be that lucky again. They played out of their heads with quite a bit of luck on their side. The Wings outplayed them in every category with shots on goal almost 2 to 1 (58 to 32 in favor of Detroit). LaFluer made alot of nice saves but also lucked out on some of those deflections and rebounds. The biggest problem, IMHO, was toward the end of regulation Detroit stopped being aggressive and failed to clear the puck (maybe for fear of an icing call?). They should be nowhere near as tired as Pittsburgh (with all their injuries and rolling, what, three lines?). The Wings were playing 5 lines with the 4th line, again IMHO, playing with the most energy. Too bad they, especially Helm, weren't out there longer.

Two b.s. penalties for goalie interference and the 4 minutes for slashing while the Pens got one penalty? Geez, I wish the zebras would either call it both ways or let them play. It's not like both teams aren't doing the same thing yet the Wings get penalized and the Pens don't. BTW, weren't the Wings at home for god sake?!?!.

Anyway, just means we get to enjoy more hockey!
