There seems to be one Dambuster Lancaster left on there ....

Re: 2 new B-17s at the Flying Mule

The mule has gotten a whole mess of older models in. I was shocked to see that they had Corgi 1/32 Erich Hartmann Bf-109 in and Corgi 1/72 B-24 Strawberry Bitch in. I wonder where these are coming from? Anyone know.

My guess is that Corgi found excess stock it didn't know about, or Martin bought out a huge private collection.
Or, he could be selling his own collection. You never know.......

It appears to be warehoused stock from one or other source and I doubt very much that it is/was a private collection - there are far too many multiples of items like the 'Doodlebug' He111 . I sincerely hope that this phenomenon doesn't represent the last dying gasps of Corgi .

I was lucky enough to pick up the 'penultimate' Grand Slam Lancaster just prior to the Sold Out sign being hung up on the cyberdoor .

(Rich [and expensive] pickings the past few months ...)

Grand Slam is the only one i didn't have and picked up last night.
Now it looks like i'm done with the Lancasters for now...By the way what is the deal on a
Easter Egg Grand Slam ?

Re: 2 new B-17s at the Flying Mule

Ordered the Grand Slam this morning showed low in stock, and it showed G for George as sold out, but went back 10 minutes later and both were in stock, so had to get the G for George as well.

Wow!! great catch.
I've been looking for both of these for some time.
Funny how they pop up when you least expect it,
Last week after the first round I contacted the Mule but they said all they were expecting were a few more RCAF versions.
If its a private collection maybe we'll see some 1:32 planes.

The Easter Egg GS Lanc was a special production of 300 models. The only difference between the two is the Easter Egg model is YZ-T whereas the regular production is YZ-S.

Re: 2 new B-17s at the Flying Mule

I just grabbed the Hartmann 1/32 109. $119

I have no idea what these were priced when they were released and I know I have passed on them for the same $. Sorry Harry!

But today the price seemed a steal with free shipping. Thanks to President Bush, I have a way to pay too!

I love war and Republicans!

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.
