@#*(&$^@#*(%&@(&@#(&@#%&*(

Warning vent in progress....

So I thought I won a FM B11B200 Chippy Ho on ebay earlier this week -- which is a HTF model, at least with my searching skillz, at a good price. I won it for $30 and change plus shipping. Sweeeeeeeeeet. Right?

Got it today, tore it open, to find the B11B202 Chippy Ho in the box instead. Totally different paint scheme, much more common.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrr. Waiting to see what the seller says. If they have both I suppose it's an easy mistake to make -- ship the wrong one that is. If they don't have the right one, it's not so easy a mistake to make. The listing also said it was limited and numbered but I don't think either model was a LE.

What I "won" :

What I got:

Which I already have from Dragon in 1:72, having not been able to find 50056.... my Chippy Ho curse continues!

Well, the artwork is different on pretty much the whole model, not just the nose -- different tail markings too, art on the drop tanks, etc.

The version I supposedly was bidding on is listed at $150 on AA, like that really means much though.......

(I have since found a place that has the right version for $75... so hopefully I can recoup all my costs for this one and just plunk down the dough for the right one!)

Re: @#*(&$^@#*(%&@(&@#(&@#%&*(

Update: The seller responded quickly and nicely (-- though never said "sorry 'bout that" ... )

He's going to discount the model what he would have to pay me to return it and I'm going to keep it for now. $22 for this bird is still a great deal -- all pad-printed, too.

If anyone needs a 1:72 50024 Dragon Chippy Ho let me know... as suddenly I have one too many!

I just remembered that I have the 1:100 version of the scheme I was after on the way, so maybe that will placate me...

It's just such a letdown to open the box for a model you've been coveting to find something else inside... no matter how cool it is, I guess.

(not to mention Mrs. Dabspk was home when the box arrived and was none too pleased... kinda makes me worried about next week ).

I might need to build a doghouse this weekend -- I might need the shelter!

Good thing you save all the die cast boxes as you can use them for construction materials. Can someone say: irony!

Who is that? What happened to Mrs. PabbyB? Now you have two of them griping!

Sorry to hear about this. What a bummer!

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.
