Re: The Ultimate "Will the Wife Notice" Test

Shrewd thinking there Jetfan, I only see one flaw, well I wouldn't trust Lorraine to drive one of those, (it might cull our cat population though so its not all bad) !

Now, now, Jim.....I just KNOW you don't really mean that! (culling the cat population, I mean)

Captain, the thought of Lorraine let loose on one of those things frightens the life out of me.

She is just fine pulling the old plough.

Jim, I am wondering if you missed my fine print, I was talking about "culling the cat population."

You are sooo right JP, I sometimes get the feeling that our good ladies know everything we get up too but choose not to comment most of time.
Every now and again they stamp their feet just to let us know who the boss is.
I must say that it does sort of spice things up a little when I think I have sneaked something in under the radar.

Captain I fear you know me too well.
I am kneeling on the floor to type this because the darn cat is asleep on my chair !!!!

God Bless America.

Re: The Ultimate "Will the Wife Notice" Test

Surely you chaps who fear She Who Must Be Obeyed can find some counterpart that she spends the family fortune on without consulting you to rebut her concerns. My wife, "Her Outdoors", is a very keen gardener and always buying plants, potting mixes by the truck load, tools etc. So I don't bug here about that and she never comments on the heavy metal that the lovely blond female UPS driver brings to me.

No, unfortunately, Jetfan, my wife doesn't have anything she spends her money on. She's that rare combination of beautiful, intelligent and a spendthrift. She never wants to go out, hates shopping and would rather have me save my money than buy her presents! The downside to this is she gets on my butt when I spend money (if she only knew how much too ). It's not like we struggle either! We live in a beachside community in a house that's paid off, have no car payments and have no kids...yet.

Anyway, I just keep reshuffling the boxes and when she asks I tell her that I'm trying to keep the boxes from crushing each other (and that's why the room looks more crowded with planes).

Re: The Ultimate "Will the Wife Notice" Test

Lucky for you one of the guys on the Hanger is a paramedic, you are going to need him if you really did buy a 1/16 Tiger "and" a 1/32 Mossie!

If I bought those the straw would settle on the camels back and Kaboom!!!!

Send the paramedic my way with a new camel then! Try having a 1/16 Tiger I, a 1/16 King Tiger, a 1/32 Mossie, a few of FM B-17's/B-24's/B-26's/B-25's/Ju-52's/C-47's, a crapload of 1/18 aircraft (comeon JP, you certainly can sympathize) AND the crowning jewel......a 1/6 Sherman (friggin' hard to hide BTW). Good thing I sold the 1/6 Tiger I a couple years back!

Here you go, just remember the little Sherman sitting on top of the 1/6 one is 1/18 scale so you can imagine the size of the bugger!
