Re: The Ultimate "Will the Wife Notice" Test

Usually when a 1/16 Tiger I rumbles through the door with a 1/32 Corgi Mosquito hot on its heels ... I'm heading for cover.

Lucky for you one of the guys on the Hanger is a paramedic, you are going to need him if you really did buy a 1/16 Tiger "and" a 1/32 Mossie!

If I bought those the straw would settle on the camels back and Kaboom!!!!

God Bless America.

... you have no idea ... perhaps a plea of temporary insanity may work for a defence (and it may not even be that far off the mark ).

LOL -- yeah, ya think so eh? Well, I don't have any big armour stuff.... well, except for this 1:24 FM Abrams I have on my file cabinet that the wife hasn't noticed.... yet... a 1/16 Tiger would likely spell my doom... I did think long and hard about one a while back. But I knew the wife wouldn't go for the display in a glasstop coffee table idea!

Re: The Ultimate "Will the Wife Notice" Test

Well it took a whole two days for her to notice -- it was my own fault though. I moved the beast onto the corner of my desk to see how it looked there... which put it right in the central focus point of the room. So when the wife came it today.... it was impossible not to notice!

"what's that?!"

Me. "what's what?"

her: "That!!!!"

Me: "oh, that..."

her: "yes... that!"

Me: "Well, that's a 1:48 B-17 by FM in the livery of the 909 we toured through together a couple years ago up in SacTown. That's a fond memory for me of a great day together and I wanted the ultimate rememberance. Oh, and I sold 4-5 models to pay for it, too."

Her: "Oh, well, okay... "

Me: "Whew..."
