What's on your "bucket list"?

11SQNLDR inspired me with a post in the Chino airshow thread about adding things to his list of to do's before kicking the proverbial bucket. So, sticking with an aviation/military history history theme, what items are on your "bucket list"?

For me, I really want to visit some WW2 battleground sites in Europe (Normandy, Bastogne, etc.) and some airfields in England. I also want to get to a few museums in the U.S. I have not yet visited, including the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy facility @ Dulles and the baseball Hall of Fame @ Cooperstown (O.K., I know this is not aviation/military but I still got to see it )

Still got a few airshows to see, including the Aviation Nation show @ Nellis and FINA-CAF AIRSHO in Texas, and any show @ Duxford in the UK.

Re: What's on your "bucket list"?

I planned to visit some Normandy beaches also, must be interesting place to spend a week. Another place I like to see is the area around Verdun ( Ok, WWI related ). It is not that far away from my place compared to the Normandy.

The Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy facility Dulles might be worth a trip.I was once in The National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.and that was indeed great!

And, at last to make the trip to Oshkosh again

Quite a trick there, Old Crow, setting up the rules, and then breaking them, all in the same post! For me, I'd LOVE to visit the aviation sites in England someday.

At the diecast and model and souvenir shop at Arromanches, you can still buy genuine WW2 " Crickets " in their original boxes for a few bucks. Also, many models of the beach defences.....expensive, but great for dioramas of AFVs.
