Re: Oil Prices why do we take it ?????

We seem to forget that 9 out of 11 of the 9-11 hijackers where from Saudi Arabia. We have been brown-noseing them for years before that even. We should raise our food prices to match their oil prices. That country would not havent anything if it wasn't for their oil.

Re: Oil Prices why do we take it ?????

I see that Saudi Arabia wants to do nothing to help us calm oil prices down, which would help our economy calm down which in turn has an affect on the World Economy, so all good things. I say, we must supply them with something, and I say we raise the price on it daily, or we cut em off until they play fair. They own the land that covers the worlds biggest supply of oil, so if you get those rich jerks to get inline, then the rest of the world will probably follow suit. I dont care by the way what anyone else pays in other parts of the world, each country has there lower cost goods and higher cost goods, Gas does not need to be this high and going higher daily for any reason at all. If its 45 cents a gallon in Saudi Arabia, it should be no more than $2.50 a gallon here. Arent they supposed to be one of our friends in this world.

Now when it comes to our own Oil companies they are also flipping the citizens of this country the bird, There profits are so through the roof, its not even funny. I understand making money and all, but they are just stealing from us, when you think about it, and the two biggest Oil Companies are spending no money on research or new refinerys or anything that could help the future of the world and of course there own Country.

I just dont get it and why our Government is doing nothing I dont get either????

Thinking out loud again, Biggie

Here is the gas companies and us....

Re: Oil Prices why do we take it ?????

A few months ago I was watching the news, it showed a bunch of idiots running about screaming and burning the American flag.

Later in this news item the reporter was interviewing one of the so called protesters a couple of streets away, in the background was a truck being unloaded.

What was in the truck but large sacks of grain with Food aid from the USA stamped on them.
Where was this place, Somalia where they are always short of food.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.
To coin a phrase, go figure !

I know its just a little off the topic but its all related.

God Bless America.

Re: Oil Prices why do we take it ?????

Depends on what the real story is. If Saudi production capacity IS truly tapped out, then there's not much that can be done. However, if it isn't, and the Saudis are really sticking it to us by their own choice, maybe we ought to try these things to send a message to them-
1) Cut back our military commitments to SA. Extend this to the civilian contractors working for the Saudi government maintaining their military equipment.
2) Start to really crack down on and close the Saudi funded "private schools" (read: Madrasses) here in the US.
3) Start making overtures to Iran. Iran is SA's biggest enemy in the Middle East; what better way to stick it to the Saudis than putting out the word that we are considering normalizing relations with their most feared enemy?
