a sad day today

I found out today my dear sweet mother of 10 children of which I am the youngest died suddenly of a heart attack. She was only 73 and I was hoping she would be around to kiss the baby boy (my first) who is due in just a few weeks. I wanted to share my sadness, but also my celebration of her incredible life with you all my brothers and friends. I owe my appreciation of art, music, and things of beauty to her. I sure hope there is a heaven because I would like to introduce all of you to her when we all get there. She was a poet, a musician, and a friend to so many. Kiss your loved ones often and always end your conversations with "I love you". You will be better for it as will the recipients. Goodbye Mom I send this message to friends across the world so they can share my thank you for having me when you could have been content with just a couple.

My condolences on your loss Louie - may you cherish and honour your mom's memory in the way in which you bring up your little one and see her spirit reflected in his eyes .

Re: a sad day today

Sorry to hear. I echo the thoughts of others that you and your family will be in our prayers.

I like your attitude, celebrating your mother's life even as you mourn her passing. My mother died of cancer when I was 13 so you were blessed to have yours for 73 great years. And yes, there is a heaven.
