detolf owners -- help needed

Hey,

I got a detolf last week and just started to put it together -- found out I was missing a bunch of parts (the parts bag was opened and what looks like old parts were inside, with lots missing). Replacement parts are on the way.

However, the glass shelfs looks small to me and I'm a bit paranoid now that they may be wrong, too -- can someone measure one of the glass shelves in yours for me and tell me the exact measurements they should be?

I'm thinking someone may have pulled a switcheroo... but I also would like to avoid dragging this heavy sucker back to the store.

Steve, how big are the ones you have? I'm at work right now so can't measure the shelves but am pretty positive the shelves are 14" x 14".

Re: detolf owners -- help needed

The shelves are a bit small, they will not fit all the way to the front. You just put them in length wise on teh rubber stoppers that came with the set. You will have some gapping between the shelves and the wire framing

Ah, so 15x11 could be right then.... I used to own one of these but just can't remember. Looking at the pics it does seem to make sense that they shelves would be narrower back to front compared with side-to-side. Hopefully, I can chock this up to paranoia!

Pappy, the measurement of the shelving in my units are 15" wide X 11.25" deep. allowances have been made to accomodate the insertion of the shelf, and in my opinion should not be lesser than the dimensions given.

Re: detolf owners -- help needed

Now you gotta go out and buy more shelves and weld more rods on.

Then you got double the space in your cabinet.
These shelves are good, mine withstood an earthquake !

btw mine are 15x11 ish.

God Bless America.

Re: detolf owners -- help needed

I still hope to add shelves to both of my Deltofs. I just have not had the time to go out and find some.
