Re: King and Country

Most King & Country figures are made from pewter in 1/30 scale. The tanks and soft skinned vehicles are usually made from polystone which is a combination of resin and calcium carbonate and will easily break if dropped. The tanks etc can vary in scale, some being 1/32, making K & C figures look rather large in some of their tanks, for example the K & C Tiger I Tank.

As for the Fuhrer's Last Fighter, this was a concept rocket powered variant of the V I by Folke Wulf that never got off the drawing board.

Re: King and Country

Old Crow, they are diecast. I was surprised at the weight in such small figures. The plane is also, and could be pewter. The box indicates all metal construction. Aircrafty, even if it didn't get off the drawing board. It was testament to Hitler's final desperation, and I will present it as such in my collection.

That's cool by me as it is a nice looking model.

But some people think it actually existed and I wanted to point that out to potential buyers who may be PO when they discovered it is a fantasy model.

Re: King and Country

Here are some pics of the the Rammjager and Transport for those of you who haven't seen them already.

WS100 The Last Fighter

WS101 Sd.kfz 252 Transport

For those who aren't familiar with King & Country they offer a wide range of toy soldiers and vehicles. They currently offer soldiers in the following Eras: Medievel, Revolutionary War, Napoleonics, The Alamo, Civil War, World War I, and World War II. They also offer figures on Streets of Old Hong Kong and Ancient Egypt but we don't currently offer those lines.

Thanks
Ronnie

Re: King and Country

Aircrafty, agree with your explanation to those who may choose to buy it. The Forum is where we as collectors are assisted by members with insightful information. I hope you don't think I was overbearing in my reply to you. It was not my intention. Cheers mucker (mate)....PS: I like your Castlemaine Beer. Drank a tanker load when I was in Aussie in 98'

No worries, I have several sets of K & C stuff in my display cabs, so it can't be to bad

Btw, no one downunder calls it Castlemaine Beer, we just call it Four Ex, the symbols XXXX being on the cans/bottles.

For example in a Queensland Pub, where Four Ex is the traditional beer, the locals would ask for a pot (10 oz glass) or a Schooner (15 oz glass) of Four Ex (XXXX). Note that different states in Australia have different names for glass sizes: http://www.cooperspubs.com/glass_sizes_aussie.htm
