Re: Models You Crave

Slippery slope Louie, slippery slope...

There's only a couple models I'm craving right now -- couple HTF Franklin Mint fighters and a certain Corgi Spit with a Duck on it... but I've actually had the good sense not to pay through the nose for 'em very recently. So my craving continues.... is this a sign of maturity, or simply the unwanted effects of too much flu meds?

I wonder...

I recently went after one of them Spits with the Duck on it. Did you see the Corgi lot on the bay with one it? I put up a bid of a little over $100 for 3 planes, I only wanted the Duck, would've sold the other two, but it went for $188. That's out of my range.

yeah, I bid on the same one -- tried to snipe it and actually bid $175 figuring I'd go for it.... kinda glad I lost Cravings can be expensive.

I would have sold the other two as well.

Re: Models You Crave

Right now tops on my list of oldies are ...the Norwegian Sunderland in 144.

Darn it Parsig! I've always wanted this baby and now I find out YOU want it too!? I don't know what's worse, thinking you will probably find one or KNOWING that if you do it will probably be for $10.00 or so!

I hate you Parsig. *

* Just making sure you know I am kidding - about the hating you part.

Re: Models You Crave

Jim, like you, I'm a WWII collector. Have an interest in Korea, Vietnam, Falklands and Desert Storm. Hence the jet interest. As for space, made enough room for another 70 or so models. 1:72 scale of course.

Ooooh dear, I am just so short of space now I just cannot break my no jets rule.
My main interest is WW2, the only exceptions are 2 connies.
I have the Qantas Connie, thats the first diecast I bought plus I just had to have the Blue Angels Connie.

There are more than a few jets I would like plus several AFVs I have seen on this forum, I just have to be strong and stick to my limits.

Anyways Swoop I am glad you picked up a bargain, enjoy your Harrier, its the best invention since the Wright brothers took to the air.
