More like damb dumn!

What a piece of garabage...Just one more reason to dislike E-bay.

You should copy his response to you and send it to ebay. That kind of stuff needs to be reported. What a jerk.

I found a funny auction too coincidently. Something about little green "special cards".

I feel the need to clarify

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!

Re: This one's funny... ebay tale...

I don't know if it's the economy or what, but I have noticed Ebay sellers have been getting more ornery lately. I just concluded a deal with a guy for an autographed set of Adolf Galland's First and Last and A Fighter Pilot's Life. Got the two for a winning bid of 149.00 plus 12.90 shipping. On his lengthy description page he said he'd ship the item priority overseas, but did not say anything about shipping within the USA. So I assumed it would go priority in the states. Now 2 books each standard size can fit in a flat rate priority box, I know this because I shipped a big chunk of my library that way when I moved away from Hawaii. So imagine my surprise when the seller in question lambasted me for ASSUMING he'd ship priority. Almost a 100 and a half for a couple books, and he's quibbling with me for a few extra bucks. I had also written him earlier to ask for me to delay payment until the 15th, my payday, his response simply stated to send him the money and notify him when I did. Now an extra bit of cash came my way so I sent it early and notified seller of same. Still, I was blasted for delaying for 1 week in my notification, even though I had initiated contact to ask about delaying payment till the 15th.

I had another ebay seller bill me 100.00 for shipping of some topping/precise models, after which UPS presented my workplace with a 23.90 bill for shipping....I still haven't heard from that seller. All this has gotten me to the point where I will only do business with a few trusted ebay sellers....unless the price is so right that I cannot refuse. Some of the creatures creeping around there really have a probelm with ethics...not to mention spelling. Still, I propose we Model Hangar citizens form our own watchdog committee and not be shy about notifying various merchants about our community. There's strength in numbers.
