Re: Midway Visit

For all the native english speakers here, WTH means : to play hookie from work ?

May someone translate for me, please?

To play hookie/ hooky means to call in sick to work/take the day off to go do something fun instead of working or going to school. It's also known as taking a mental health day (to mentally destress from the pressures of work).

Living in S. California I find that I take quite a few "mental health" days off from work due to the nice weather, beaches and abundance of activities available. I suspect that in Europe one does not do this too often as European's have much more vacation time then the average American(& Canadian) worker?

Don't know the story behind the Agressor Hornet but it is indeed retired. Sweet looking plane anyhow!

Trex, thanks for this info.
Yes, compared to my sister ( she lives and works in the US ) I have a good amount of vacation time plus the possibility to take some days off to get rid of my extra hours from the office

FA-18 Aggressors are usually older fleet birds which already have a lot of flight hours. When your yank and bank all day planes can get long in the tooth pretty quick. The last time I was at the AMARC boneyard there were at least two rows of these birds just waiting for their fate.
