Re: If you had to choose ...

I know ....I just got done today spring cleaning my curios and moving things around for the new releases that will be coming in...
I may just have to add some of them on ebay in a few months.
I won a 1:48 F-15 last week on ebay for 29.00 and it came in today and wow ...A 1:48 F-15 is bigger then i thought it be...No more modern jets in 1:48 for me...

Re: If you had to choose ...

Mine is almost all 1/72 79 of them to be exact and that is mostly for the same reason as prviuosly stated that being space I have made an exception for two 1/32 planes Corgi Spit & Hurricane and a the GMP Texas Longhorn and I might try to get a Corgi 1/32 109 but that is about as many larger scale birds as I dare try to squeeze in.

That's why I have no intention of collecting modern military jets in 1/48 - WAY TOO BIG!

Re: If you had to choose ...

I would prefer to stay with 1/72. On my wall unit I currently have on display a B-24, B-25, Lanc, Halifax, He 111,Me-110, P-38, Mossie, and about 20 odd single engine WWII fighters. There would be no way of having that much on display in 1/48. Mind you I do have a couple 1/48 on display on different cabinets and a Deltof with Corgi 1/32 P-51, Hurricane, Spitfire, 109 and a 1/32 Mossie sitting on top. I like the big stuff too but my collection is 90 percent 1/72 and that would be due to space and also more schemes, molds, and generally better quality. I had a 1/48 FM mossie and sold it off, it was either that or give it to the kids to play with it was that bad. The few 1/48 I own have been purchased in the last year and they are HM and Marushin and that is because they are unique planes and schemes that I don't think will ever come out in 1/72. The other issue is that a lot of the manufacturers that produce 1/48 do not provide stands and I prefer to display wheels up.
