| Re: If you had to choose ... Well, I have kinda given in... I'm buying up a lot of Corgi's new WWI line in 1:48... I hope it's not a matter of time until I decide WW2 looks good in 1:48 too! | |||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to choose ... I find my 1/72 collection slowly shrinking and my 1/48 collection growing in leaps and bounds.. My only restraint is the lack of good models (my idea of good) and variety in this scale, but with new planes coming out everyday, that idea is changing.. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to choose ... I think that Hobby Master should make any future helicopters in 1/48. I feel the UH-1 is just too small in 1/72. I base this also on seeing 1/72 scale helicopters at last years IPMS convention. I am going to get the new F3F it's just to nice not too. On the other hand the folding wing hinges on the F9F just didn't do it for me. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to choose ... I went through a phase where I decided to only collect 1/48 , due mainly to the impact of the truly superb Carousel 1 FW190Ds and EI's P51B/C Mustangs It didn't last long as 1/72 still reigns supreme for the 'heavies' as well as all those other little esoteric models and liveries that 'round out' a collection so well. I've made peace with the fact that I collect all scales with the main focus being 1/48 for single engined fighters and 1/72 for multi-engined aircraft (with numerous 1/72 single engined models thrown in for scale comparison purposes of course My collection of 1/35 GMP P51D Mustangs and Minichamps armour is still sacrosanct as are my 1/32 Corgi Bf109Gs ... there is really no hope for me to even try and limit myself to any one scale! ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| If I had to choose just one scale then 1:72 would win because of space, cost & greater subject choice but like most members I have models in the three main scales, 1:48 is a fine scale for WW2 fighters but in the UK only HM are generaly available, Carousel models are around the £65 mark when they can be found which is not often & as for Franklin Mint thanks but no thanks. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to choose ... I generally prefer 1/72 scale for my collection but...I think 1/32 is best for WWI fighters, 1/48 for WWII fighters and Korean War fighter jets, and 1/72 for WWII bombers and post Korean War jets. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: If you had to choose ... I buy both aircraft and armor in 1:72 scale. But i have a good reason!! I model both armor and aircraft in 1:48 scale, and i dont want to buy something that i can already make! | ||||||||||||||
