Cool Blue Angels formation sets

Hobby Master already has a leg-up, well nearly, so wouldn't it be great if they'd produce a boxed set of four of the following Blue Angel aircraft:

F6F
F8F
F9F-2
F4J
A-4F
F/A-18

They already have molds for four of the six above, and could vary the plane numbers from 1 - 7. If they really got serious they could also produce the following:
F9F-5; F9F-8; and F11F-1, but that would be a stretch. The overhead display of the four A-4F Blue Angels in the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola is really impressive and would be equally so in die cast. CALL Hawk & William if you agree LOL.

Here is how I'd like my set so numbered:
BA #1 a F6F
BA #2 a F8F
BA #3 missing man as this isn't in 1/72nd scale
BA #4 a F4J
BA #5 a A-4
Ba #6 a F-18

See ya all in about 15 months!!

Re: Blue Angels formation sets

I'd go for a set of six phantoms on a custom stand to have them all "in formation flight" -- that would be cool... someone did something like this years ago but I don't remember the maker or the scale.

(ANd yes, your idea would be cool to see, too, I don't think the demo team birds are dull at all. )

Re: Blue Angels formation sets

Something similar to this one here be cool..
These Blue Angels are made of mahogany wood and Mounted on a beautiful mahogany base
by Pacific Aircraft models.
I would buy one in a flash if they made this set in a diecast.

Re: Blue Angels formation sets

Looks like the props were mixed on the Hellcat and Bearcat.

Would make a cool coat rack also.

Actually I really like that display. Might even change my method of displaying my Blue Angels

It sure does.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

That was Model Power, I believe. But I think they were F-18s.

I say - "Where's the Cutlass?" SKUNKY says - "The props are actually in the correct positions - it's the aircraft behind them that are out of place....The F6F and F8F are in each other's slots".

The Gutless Cutlass wasn't flown by the regular team, just as a solo performer, only for a couple seasons due to problems with the aircraft. That's why it isn't on that display, besides it probably left such a bad memory the Blues prefer to forget about it.
