Anybody Ride Motorcycles in here?

Hello

Changing the topic anyone on the boards ride?
What make bike do ya ride?

Weather finally started to turn better here I went out for a short 225 mile ride today, about 68 degrees here and great sunshine..

Here is a pic from my 4800 mile ride out west in 2006, I wish I could do one of these a couple times a year..

Cool Re: Anybody Ride Motorcycles in here?

I love to ride as well but am preparing to take an extended hiatus due to the family. I've got two sons - 4 and 7 - and between coaching their sports and staying active with my adult softball and football teams I've decided something has to give and it will be the bike for now. At least with the sports we can still spend time together but the bike only has room for me and mom.

As to make, I currently have a 2006 Honda VTX 1300 - I love the bike and I love to ride but I just don't have the time. I'll give you an update in the future when I get back in the circuit.

Hi Glen, (& Kwiky !)

You're in Good company here mate, as there are more Bikers on here than you probably realise !!!!!!!!!

Nimrod48 - Gertie - ZS-VAN - Mk.Vb - dilligafo'u - & Jim , (as well as 'Good-Self') are all Bikers

Funny enough; there was a thread with loads of discussion & interesting annecdotes from the guys on this very-same section of the Forum, back in Feburary '08 (not even two full months ago !!!!!!), which evidently some of the newer guys ain't seen !!!!!!!!!

It's well worth reading some of the posts on there, to Highlight both what bikes the Guys have had, & do still ride

here's the link.....

On two wheels

Nimrod48 kicked it off, after he lifted a post I'd put in another (unrelated to M/cycles) thread, where I'd talked about regularly riding past the (Ultra) Famous Airfield at Debden, in Essex - where Blakeslee, Gentile, Godfrey, Goodson & Hofer lived & flew (& fought from !) as well as being the home-base (& final resting place) of (arguably) the most famous P.51-B, Gentile's "Shangri-La".

Back on this thread, here's a 1993 shot of my Kawasaki Z.1000-J.3, in front of the 'SS' Panther (PzkpwV) at Grandmenil, in the Ardennes sector of Belgium, with my Two riding-compatriots bikes behind.

I left the Wife & kids at home & travelled the Ardennes Battlefields area, with two (equally-keen) mates, for a week, in May '93, photographing Armour & visiting museums in Luxembourg & Germany.

Mine's a 2003 Ducati 900SS. Don't ride it enough and sadly for us 'downunder' winter is on the way

Take it out and play with it
