...and he will make good on any mistakes that can happen, from time to time. He also will beat anyone's price, if you ask him. IXEC

Forgot about this little ditty, yes he will match or even beat other's prices if you ask him!

Don't you think you're a bit hasty in deciding not to order from W&W...but I do respect your decision. I have ordered from W&W only about 20 times and NOT a single
transaction ever went south or turned sour in my overall experience.

Same here! W&W and DAP are my two main sources for diecast. I have seen the light (and price differences).

Carl has always come through for me!

Well for what it's worth, I buy all my diecast planes from him exclusively. FM, Corgi, CW, C1, HM. I never had a problem. I know other guys say they have had problems, but I know Carl, and he will make good on any mistakes that can happen, from time to time. He also will beat anyone's price, if you ask him.

So Dragon53, what can you lose?

IXEC

Okay, you guys are making me feel bad! I'm willing to give him another chance if I happen to see something I like on his site. I was just annoyed at the length of time it took for the distributor to get him the plane and then for him to turn around and get it to me. I guess it's all water under the bridge now......but I'm gonna come looking for Fly and IXEC if my next order gets screwed up (I'll have to mix your modern and wwII stuff)!!!!

Re: recommend Wingsandwheels?

Pesonally I like W2 -- they may not be the most "up with the tech times" but they are friendly, the prices are great, and I've never had an issue -- other than once he sent me the wrong model, which he told me to keep once I informed him of the mistake and he sent me the right one...

Thumbs up Re: recommend Wingsandwheels?

I'm late to the party again, but I've had a number of buys from W&W and I've never had an issue. He's honest, straightforward and a pleasure to do business with.

Re: recommend Wingsandwheels?

Yes, I've met this guy (Carl) and his is a true mom and pop outfit. He got me some hard to find HMs, for a very good price. Like I mentioned earlier, he's a WWII vet who fixed our B-24 powerplants in the PTO-- have a little patience with him when you call (you may have to speak up a bit) but he's a good guy. He has a wonderful personal collection and does it for the love of it, and for the fellow collector.

Showed me a P-38 made out of spent Japanese shells--- how cool is that?

Re: recommend Wingsandwheels?

Has anyone ever purchased from wingsandwheel.com
If so, would you recommend them?

I have dealt with W&W on several occasions, with no problems at all. Have a number of models on preorder. His mailing costs are honest and you won't get stiffed.

The same thing happened to me with a Bunker Hill Corsair and a Western Airlines DC3.
