What the BLAST is going on with the financial market?

What is going on with the financial market. Bear Stearns dropping from $30's down to the $2's and $3's. Mark my word, in a few months I am sure we will be reading about all the insiders who made freaking millions in the past week on this stock. Too bad I was not one of them.

It's time to invest in magic beans. They always get a good return.

Shades of the Dot Com boom and bust of the early Y2K hype. People who are cashing in on penny stocks are in for a big surprise. Been there...done that!!!

There is even talk that this country is heading into a depression and it looks to be worst then The Great Depression of 1929..
One thing after another...It starts with the downfall of the housing markets...foreclosed homes......Banks closing.....Buyout & Bailouts...
That is getting spooky to hear.

The old law of gravity at work - what goes up, must come down (not necessarily in one piece) ...

(On a serious note, if you have excessive debt exposure, reduce it as much as possible as soon as possible.)

AH, think again Cardinal, over here the alternative is to spend spend spend and then when it all goes bust you just go down to the benefit office and plead poverty, providing you are an idle good for nothing the State pays all your bills.

Honest Cardo its true , I see this all around me every day.

I often wonder why I worked all those long hours and saved my money.
Now I watch helplessly as the government taxes me to death and gives those taxes to any useless idle home grown or immigrant thieving grabbing little

HEY I think I am turning into a grumpy old man !!!

Re: What the BLAST is going on with the financial market?

This all comes down to lender and borrower greed--all of those sub-prime variable rate mortgages. Multitudes of
people that thought they could get something for nothing. Now everyone is getting f**ked, even those of us that
weren't so greedy. Banking executives, oil company executives and insurance co. executives should be executed
in the public square as a lesson to anyone else thinking about screwing the general public, IMHO.

HEY I think I am turning into a grumpy old man !!!

You always were Jim !!!!!!!! (nothing new there then !)

We can get you booked in with the B.B.C to star alongside Rick Wakeman (love him to bits !!!!!!!!)

The ultimate program = B.B.C.'s "Grumpy Old Men" (with the emphasis on old )

Yes I watch that programme, isn't Rick the guy with the Train set in his loft (hmm)?

I think he must have shares in Hornby, did you see the size of the layout?

Jim, I thought that was Pete Waterman (who used to own a real one; a Giant called "Britania" - curiously only spelt with ONE 'T')

I'm a MASSIVE ('ex') Yes fan, so I wouldn't mind being a few 'bob' behind him (Rolls-Royces/Mansions etc; not to mention his gorgeous 'ex'-wife - Nina - an 'ex' Page-3 Girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

One man who ain't gonna have to worry about worldwide recession !!!!!!!!!
