| Re: Looking for a good P-38 diecast I'll throw my hat into the ring and say that Corgi does a very nice 1/72 scale bird. The bomber version is a little weird since they manufactured it without bombs, or the option of mounting them, but the rest are find models. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Looking for a good P-38 diecast I'd recommend the California Cutie P-38 from Corgi because of the livery. I also have the Olds and Bong P-38s from Corgi, but California Cutie is my favorite. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Looking for a good P-38 diecast I'm looking forward to the Blue PRU Lightning and the other with the green snake like images on the engines used in India. I have the Olds / Bong P-38s and I like them. Wish the McQuire version came with the wheels up/down option. - Shawn | |||||||||||||

| Re: Looking for a good P-38 diecast I'd go with the Corgi models also, although they often lack some of the more obvious stenciling, which I've added in a few cases. If you can find one, either of the two Matchbox "wheels-up" P-38s is a good addition to any collection as well. But stay far, far, far away from IXO's version, it's a real dog. The same goes for Witty's models---they are sub par at best. | |||||||||||||
