Winter Storm in Mid West

Anyone else enjoying this fine winter storm? I'm in northern Ohio and we've had about 6-8 inches dumped on us, supposed to get 12-16 inches. We're snowed in and everything is closed. How's the weather where the rest of you are at?

Re: Winter Storm in Mid West

It's warm, but it's raining heavily with a wind advisory in effect. So much for my trip to NJ to check out some hobby shops.

Isn't that the truth. Due to this weather, my wife is stuck in an airport in Houston, waiting for Cleveland's Hopkins to reopen. Let's just say, she's not too happy.

I don't know, smartd. Last time I was at that one was sometime in the 90s (94, IIRC). It seems to me that I tried going back there once a few years later, and it was still a hobby shop, but not the Squadron shop.
The only hobby shop that comes to mind in the DC area right now is one up the road from Dulles. Next time I go to the Udvar-Hazy Center, I'm going to stop in that shop.

Re: Winter Storm in Mid West

In the central Ohio area we have around a foot of snow last I checked (and that was several hours ago). It's still snowing. My wife and I are not going ANYWHERE!

Re: Winter Storm in Mid West

I saw on the TV yesterday that certain parts of the NE were going to be under flood watches. I'm keeping an eye on the drainage ditch out back of the property. I've never seen it filled this high, and it is still raining.
