Special Commissions

Taking a cue from the "A litle birdie tells me" thread-
Every once in a while, the topic of a special commission model will pop up on here.
If you were able to have a special commission model produced, what subject would you choose, and why. Also, which company would you have create the special commission?

Re: Special Commissions

Right off the top Century Wings or HM with a Jolly Roger Phantom in 1/72. Same as the 1/32 now out.
Lots of others come to mind, I'll let some of the other guys join in and see what they would like.

Re: Special Commissions

Any P-51B/D from the CBI theater. Sort of the forgotten theater in WWII. Familial and historical significance is a good reason.

Don't do what BDE tells you to do. Do what BDE would want you to do.

Re: Special Commissions

Tough one, but have to go with a 1/32nd scale Gloster Gladiator with livery for Squadron Leader Marmaduke Thomas St. John "Pat" Pattle. I would have to say first choice would be Hobby Master followed by close second of Corgi for company I would want to make it.

Corgi, 1/72 FW190/Ju88 'Mistel' combo at a reasonable price ...

(Why? They have the molds and it would be unique as a special commission.)

Re: Special Commissions

Cruver,
I love that picture. Plus, I think the Gladiator is a fine mould by Corgi.

This would be my choice. A little unconventional yes, but Sierra Madre Search & Rescue is literally three blocks from me. The bird is hangered in Burbank, I think?

The company would be Corgi. Not due to any love of Corgi, or dislike of any other manufacturer, but merely since they have the mould in their Wessex/Sikorsky. (I presume this bird is a Wessex? Looks like one to me, but what do I know?)

Anything for a weird life.

A while back I sent in a suggestion to Corgi with the same idea as yours.

Did they give any response?
