Tail heavy models how to fix?

Hi

How do you fix a tail heavy aircraft displayed in landing gear deployed mode?
I build 1/72 jets models and it is common to place a penny(ies) or screw(s) in the nose of the model so it prevents it to become tail heavy. In the case of diecast what do you guys do?

Thanks again

Patrick

Re: Tail heavy models how to fix?

Lead fishing weights work best, they can be shaped to fit and they add a good deal of weight. Unlike pennies.

what brands of fishing weights do you use? I use pennies on my Cobra helos.

If you want a clear plastic rod inserted in a drilled hole near the tail, will do the job
Also soft clay in the front wheelwell with lead splitshot.
Splitshot is small lead BBs with a slot in them to attach to fishing line.

Re: Tail heavy models how to fix?

If it is on a tipping balance, add layers of paint to the front of the aircraft. I had to do that with my 1/72 Huey. Here it is before I added the paint weight:
