Do you glue parts that don't fit well?

Hi

I am still new to diecast collecting I usually build 1/72 aircrafts.
I am just putting together one of my first diecast a hobby master Polish Mig-21. I love the plane but I was amazed at how much work still has to be put into working all the landing gear, wheels and other small parts. Some just don't fit well and won't stay put.
Do any of you slightly glue some parts? I understand no super glue should be used, what glue do you use for easy removal if needed (If I want to display the plane "In flight" and landing gear has to be removed or simply trade or sell it because I purchased a newer one.)

Thanks a lot

Patrick

Patrick, since I have been a member of this forum, I have heard the praises of good ol Elmers white glue. I have had to use it, and it does work great. It dries clear, and although I have not had to remove anything that I have glued, I hear it is easy to do such. Also, it wipes away clean if you have a little over spill.

Always, Always, Always, No matter what...Confirm the amount of fuel in your tanks before you takeoff!

Yep, white glue will get the job done for most of your needs. It is water soluble so it will not damage anything. Yes parts glued this way can be removed and cleaned up no problem

I find with dragon you almost have to glue some things such as the guns to wings. If you don't they may fall out and you loose them That is the only thing about dargon I hate, I wish they would have them in place l like corgi does when you buy them,

Elmer's glue is the best. Holds well and does not craze clear parts.

Elmer is ok but I find blue tack works very well too, you know, that blue play do like substance, non permanent yet efficient.

Handled with care, cyanolite may be used too... Depends on the model, and if you want to be able to dismantle and box it back.

For example, all my Dragons are glued once for all ! (I'm not a very patient guy...)
