Newray 1/72 SR-71 is it junk?

Hi

I am new to diecast or already build plastic models aircraft, I usually build in 1/72 scale but lack of time got me decided to buy some already built.
Looking at only pictures online, it's hard to tell sometimes if something is junk or not. I couldn't dig a review either.
How is that SR-71 from Newray? The already built one as I think there is one to put together.
I assume it's junk as I can't find much here on the modelhangar about that brand, even in the plastic section.

I appreciate the help

Thanks

Patrick

You would be better of if you can find a Franklin Mint SR-71 that was made a few years ago...You can find them on Ebay once in while too.
These are long sold out.
It may not be 1:72nd but it's the best there is to date imho.

Very nice indeed but I stick to 1/72, I will build one if the need be in that scale, just wondering if someone owned that new ray one.

Thanks

Patrick,

Here's a 1/72nd scale "resin molded" Black Bird that is a 'stop-gap' filler for the day when comes a diecast model is finally released hopefully like Century Wings or Gemini ACES... I said "hopefully" with a grain of salt tossed in the back!

Anyhow, the desktop model below is available at Historic Aviation for $129 (I've seen it sell for more at other places) which I think is very reasonable and is a budget- buster for sure!

Sorry, but this just looks too much like Maisto. As some others have said, just look at the canopy and the landing gear. Save your money.

Thumbs down Re: Newray 1/72 SR-71 is it junk?

In answer to your question - my 8 year old says it looks like junk, I tend to agree

Don't go there!!
