What to do with all of the empty boxes?

Just wondering what everyone here does with their empty boxes when they put their models on display. Their just can't possibly be enough room in your houses for both boxes and display cases.....is there?

How about a poll?

Re: What to do with all of the empty boxes?

A lot of boxes get destroyed when you try to remove the model---Model Power, Matchbox, Altaya, etc. So these go right into the garbage can. As for the others, I try to keep them in case I need to move or send one to a friend or family member. I don't care a fig about selling models on eBay, however, so I'm not worried a bit about how pristine the boxes are, whether all of the cards and other stuff is intact, etc. Unfortunately, my basement is awash with boxes, so I may have to start throwing some of them out.

I keep them no matter how odd they are. When I move every 3-4 yrs it helps to keep them safe.

Re: What to do with all of the empty boxes?

I put them in a bigger box and in the basement they go. And I also keep all the "little extras" such as landing gear, bombs, fuel tanks, in the origional box if I ever want to change the look.

Always, Always, Always, No matter what...Confirm the amount of fuel in your tanks before you takeoff!

Re: What to do with all of the empty boxes?

I keep'em, but not because I and they may be thrown out of the house, as my wife is pretty supportive. Figure my kids, after I'm dead and gone, may be able to get a little more for them.

ps: I have a crawl space where the go nicely. It's capped, so no problems.

Keep them all! Mrs. Parsig complains we have no closet space. I say we do, it's just being used.
