Oops an earthquake!!!!

Hey folks,
last night England had an earthquake, 5.1 on the Richter scale.
Ok it was only a small one but I certainly felt the earth move.

There I was viewing the Hanger when I heard a loud rumbling sound!
Lorraines A little bilious tonight I thought, next thing The house was shaking and the detolf cabinet next to me was swaying at an alarming rate.
I was rocking backwards and forwards along with the walls.
Heck is the house falling down, quick grab the Detolf, all my diecast are in danger.

Shriek from Lorraine, who was downstairs at the time, oooo whats happening????

Then all went quiet, the quake stopped.

I thought to myself, wow that was cool, must tell the guys on the forum.
Ah but what it it isn't a quake, hm , yes I would look a bit of an idiot (well more than I normally do) so I thought I will investigate and see if anyone else felt the quake!!

Yup ,its all over todays news.
Lots of chimney pots fell down but thankfully only one person injured.

Anyway the most important thing is that the diecast is ok, although Lorraine was shook up a bit he he in the literal sense also.
Weird experience I must say, so 5.1 eh, it was fun but I would really hate to experience anything more than that, it must be terrifying.
So Jims had a taster of what a quake is like.

God Bless America.

Re: Oops an earthquake!!!!

Jim, I hope everyone's alright and no fatalities? I hate earthquakes so much like the plague, I wouldn't want to wish it on my worst enemies. The last major tremble I've experienced here in California was the "Loma Prieta" earthquake of October,1989 where a major bridge in Oakland collapsed crushing cars paper-thin...which was measured at 6.9 -7 on the Richter scale.
