That is not dust. That is the new look for "weathered" aircraft, except it is called "real iraq sand" weathering. No wonder it is priced the way it is.

Looks like it was "mothballed" out in Arizona for a few years.

Re: Most Dusty Models Ever?

Pappy, I hope you noticed that I didn't jump into the septic tank with all those other bad boys because childish frolic like that is way beneath my dignity.

That was probaby the dustiest helicopter model I've ever seen. The gentleman who wishes to sell it should really consider taking a duster to it, and possibly even a slightly moistened q-tip in order to access the more inaccessible areas, what say you?

Re: Most Dusty Models Ever?

Then again maybe this model is depicting a retired chopper in use as a crop duster??

Yes, Skunky, that wasn't lost on me... and yes, I know this isnt' exactly a serious topic/tread -- but at least all the shenanigans could be somewhat in the ballpark... the seemingly endless prattle and jokes on TN and such are getting a bit... tired... least for me. Wading through a thread and having to pick the real posts out of the "jokes" is a bit nuts. Not that you ever have anything to do with that, though

Okay, gents, hissy fit is over, back to the fun and games.

But before we can intelligently discuss the dust at issue, we must determine:

1. The molecular weight of the dust.
2. The differences, if any, between the dust found on the rotor blades and the fuselage.
3. Is the dust iron based slag dust or is it cosmic dust?
