Re: How Long Have You Been Proud To Be An American?

On September 11, 2001 I put an American flag in the window of my office. It sits there today.
No-one has dared to question its right of place.

Don't live there but I love you folks south of the border.

Is the fridge stocked with Labatts Blue?

Or Moose would be good too, as long as it isn't the King of Skunk Piss (not SKUNKY)...aka "BUD".

Re: How Long Have You Been Proud To Be An American?

Like Captain Eddie, I try to avoid pride as well, but I will say that I am extremely grateful that by the grace of God I was born and raised in a country where we can criticize our elected leaders and choose to worship (or not) as we see fit, without fear of persecution (well, with certain minor exceptions ). I'm well aware that there are many nations on this earth where this is not the case.

This is an international forum, and in the interest of not making this thread exclusive to Americans only, I think we should open it up and let our buds from the other countries chime in on how they feel about their own citizenships.

Ahh, thanks for clarifying that SKUNKY. I thought he meant it in the context of "I hopes I have an extra set of underwear with me, since I love going to Dennys'"...
