Re: How Long Have You Been Proud To Be An American?

13. From November 10th the UK will harmonise petrol (or Gasoline, as you will be permitted to keep calling it until April 1st 2009) prices with the former USA. The UK will harmonise its prices to those of the former USA and the Former USA will, in return, adopt UK petrol prices (roughly $8/US gallon- get used to it).

Some funny stuff and I agree on the beer.. ...but sorry, this gas price one won't fly! The price of oil is global so whatever your paying in the UK is what your oil companies charge plus (and here's the real culprit)

what you goverment adds in tax!! Maybe it's time for a new Boston tea party UK style!

No.4 - your finger is on the UK 'pulse', petroleum-wise........

We are literally being $haft&d by the Brit' Govt on petrol (or 'Gas', as you 'Yanks' love to call it !!!!!!)

80 - 81 pence a 'Litre' (out of 100 pence = i.e. a £) is lining the Gov't pocket on 'Tax'

If I'd been around in 1775, I'd have fought on the side of the side of the Colonists, too (Gospel !).

As usual - Parliament getting our ('Redcoat') Army to do their 'dirty-work' whilst they stay at home, push-pens & squander our 'Hard-Earned' money, they claim is 'Tax' like some bottomless pit........

Different-Century = same deal...........

The 'Fuel' "Tax" levy is OUTRAGEOUS - yet the soft British-Motorist(s) tolerate it (it the main - except those of us like me, who ACTUALLY go on 'Fuel-Protest(s)) - not that they're gonna take any notice !!!!!!!!!!!

Having said that - SniperUK = your post No.8 was hilarious - you get my vote, to lead the 'New-Colonies' & keep these 'Hicks' in check !

Why ARE U.S. cars SO crap ?????? there's just no excuse - no wonder BMW's Merc's & Lexus are SO popular out there

If I could have my 'Life' over again, I'dve forsaken getting Married w/kids, & emigrated to Canada like my Cousins !!!!!!!!
