How many people glue their diecast together??

Wth so many models having a plethora of fiddly bits that never seem to fit right or fit at all, I'm wondering how many of just glue the damn things together out of frustration?
Also how many of you use white glue so the model can be disassembled later & how many of you use super glue so you will never have to worry about it again?

Re: How many people glue their diecast together??

I use Elmer's glue when necessarily to glue landing gear and other bits that tend to come off. If things fit OK then I do not use glue. Super glue only when I need to repair or if the white glue just ain't doing the job.

White hobby glue as a standard for 'fiddly' bits and CA/Super-Glue for repairs ...

Post Re: How many people glue their diecast together??

Just a spot of white glue on u/c doors usualy though some of the early Corgi Bf 109s realy need stronger stuff ....I use 2 part clear epoxy glue that sets hard in 5 mins so gives a little "fiddle" time.

Re: How many people glue their diecast together??

I predominantly use white glue for majority of the pieces, but on some parts CA seems the best solution. White glue is just so forgiving and easy to clean up on an error.

White glue. Have already had to remove some glued parts. If the part fits snugly, no glue.

Re: How many people glue their diecast together??

I rely on museum putty / tacky wax -- it does the trick for little bits that just don't want to to stay put. I've used super glue on diecast exactly once, to repair a busted tail wheel.
