I think you're right about that.
In regards to the NFL- IIRC, part of the agreement for them getting the anti-trust exemption had to do with game broadcasts. In my opinion, it looks like the NFL is trying to get around this by broadcasting certain games exclusively on the NFL Network. I wonder if Congress will step up and do something about this?

As far as baseball goes, this entire performance enhancing substance issue makes me respect the old guys even more. Look at Mickey Mantle- he was under the influence of a performance degrading substance and still had a Hall of Fame career!
