Re: Who do you want for President in 2008

I have a sinking feeling that whoever we get will be bad enough to make Bush look good!

Now that is a truly frightening thought

Talking Re: Who do you want for President in 2008

We have a three, sometimes four party system up here in the great white north which I don't particularly like as the dear leader does not receive a majority vote.

Remember Ross Perot and Clinton!

As to Free Health Care, be careful for what you wish for.

The money has to come from somewhere, its either higher taxes or you can say goodbye to some of your aircraft carriers, submarines and air wings.

The fact is, the health care in this country would be just fine if the administrators of the funds weren't living in the halcyon days of the '80s. Fact is, the funds just get wasted. This isn't conjecture, this is fact.

You guys in the U.S. I envy you (sort of -- not for the last 8 years though). You have some real serious contenders for the presidency. Currently, we have the Canadian equivalent of your G.W. and no real hope on the horizon. Pathetic, really.

Anyhow, my take:
1. Clinton (BEST)
2. Obama (Best, but next time -- VERY SHARP guy, just needs experience!)
0. McCain (Dinosaur)
Just my 2¢ worth.

PLEASE understand -- NO offense intended -- it's only an opinion and it's ONLY politics -- and I'm in Canada standing on the sidelines watching the parade go by.

Re: Who do you want for President in 2008

I plan to vote for Huckabee in Ohio's upcoming primary. Not because I want him as President-far from it-but due to the VERY SLIM chance that neither of them will reach the magic number, we'll have a brokered convention......and......just MAYBE.....some who is actually CONSERVATIVE would get the nod!

Re: Who do you want for President in 2008

I've been supporting Big John since 2000. McCain should have been the GOP nominee instead of W. I think
we'd all be a lot better off had that happened. McCain is the only candidate that gives us answers anywhere
near truthful, imho. BTW, I consider myself a conservative, and I like Big John (so Rush can go suck a lemon).

Even tank nut would be incapable of such a feat....

Or maybe we just say goodbye to a certain war that's costing billions -- certainly don't want it to go on for another 100 years...

Re: Who do you want for President in 2008

Also, don't you think it's about time that the US had a woman for a President - she even has more cajones than some of the male candidates ...

They are implants used to scare her fellow democrats. She has no stones or Bill would've stopped cheating after the first time. She couldn't control that fool, how could she run a country??

Re: Who do you want for President in 2008

You can just vote on the poll and nothing more...
JP

Here in Florida, we can do what we want. Just look at the 2000 election, we screwed up the ballets. Kind of funny that ole Jeb Bush was Governor and Kathline Harris was in charge of elections and ole Georgie Dubwah ended up getting elected. Makes you think doesn't it?
