I seem to recollect it was Lyndon B Johnston in reference to .......... oh dear erm hmm ,who was president after him?

Skunky your are correct my memory has let me down again.

Tisk I can see the mans face in my mind but cannot think of his name, I hate these malfunctions of memory ,it will drive me crazy until I remember his name.

FORD! hey the brain worked ,it was President Ford.

That is TRUE, Jim, but I would like to gently point out that Nixon was in between Johnson and Ford!

Ya mean Skunky was winding me up again?

Even so I think I was correct about who said it and about whom.

Nixon, yes we all remember him, people at the time used to say, would you buy a used car off this man?

Politics is such fun!!!!!

Absolutely not!!, I was just being my usual caring, sensitive, diplomatic self.... Ford did come after Johnson....not directly after, true....but he did come after Johnson.
