Re: Jr. Takes Bud Shootout

It just goes back to what Cruver said...Those were the good old days of NASCAR ,but unfortunately they have now gone the way of the F-14... gone and they ain't ever coming back. (and I don't care if 'ol DW boogity boogity boogities 'til the boogities spew out his nose, it's not changing a thing).

.....and Rusty sucks as a commentator too, as well as that entire ABC team.

Re: Jr. Takes Bud Shootout

Here is one more problem with NASCAR. In the old days it used to be about winning races, now it is all about being consistent. I really hate it when you here drivers saying all they need to do is finish in the top ten. I liked it better in the days of Earnhardt senior when every race was worth taking a chance at winning. Finally too get in the chase should require winning a race. So if you win a race you are in the chase. You could still use points to flesh out a race for the chase as far as number of cars involved. Winning should be the focus, not consistency. PC crap should go out the window too.

Re: Jr. Takes Bud Shootout

Just goes to show if you have the right car behind you, you can win races there was no doubt he would do it. Last year was a joke with dei, his father would have rolled over in his grave had he seen all the engines blowing up in his car last year. That wicked mother in law behind him has made him a new man and I would not put it past him to win a lot this year, go JR go!!

Re: Jr. Takes Bud Shootout

I really liked NASCAR before it went PC, when drivers could really express what they were thinking at the moment (Maybe a little a little nonverbal communication too)

Who can forget that race were Cale Yarborough and the Allison boys did a little of that "expressing"......
