How about an OS2U Kingfisher?

Just wondering what the consensus is for an OS2U Kingfisher since floatplanes seem to be so well received by members of this board? I'd personally like one....heck I'd even like one done by Franklin Mint seeing as how they did such a fine job with their Rufe Floatplane! Corgi could do one with a launching arm dio too!!

I'd like to hear everyone's opinions, please sound off!

Re: How about an OS2U Kingfisher?

Would look good in 1/72nd or 1/48th scale and the land plane variant could be produced with little modification to the mold. If somebody makes one though, please include beaching gear. I love the Corgi Catalinas flying boats with one exception, and that would be you cannot properly display it on beaching gear.

I would love both the Kinghfisher and Duck! It's been in my wish lists for too long.

Re: How about an OS2U Kingfisher?

I would buy all of the above, but who is going to make them? One possibility is MRC if it continues to expand its ready-built plastic model line. Another possibility is Altaya---hopefully with improved quality like its new 1:144th scale bomber series. Of course, I'd prefer Corgi or Hobby Master, but I don't see that happening for some time. Hope I'm wrong.

Nah, give the Jap-**ap a miss !

I'd love a Wartime blue Kingfisher - esp' one as nice as that model at the bottom of Trex's pictures......

BTW, what manufacturer, is that ? (I'm presuming it's 1/48th)

DON'T tell me it's an enhanced 'Monogram' kit ! LOL !

Oh ya bring on the floats . would really like a 1/72 Grumman Goose also, or a Martin Mariner or could really wish and go for a Martin Mars
