Re: Quiz: Test Your Warbird IQ

Using the picture below. On this IXO model of the Bf 110, the extension of the fuselage past the trailing edge of the horizontal stabilizer is?

1. It was made by IXO, so it must be an error.
2. Extended fuselage for radio equipment.
3. Extended fuselage longitudenal stability.
4. Extended fuselage section houses a two man dingey.

4. But I,m not so sure that this Russian Front BF-110 had this feature.

Correct, and who knows if some of the med units got tagged for the eastern front. I did notice that IXO did come out with a pure Mediteranean bird, and if I can find one at reasonably low price, might pick one up.

Is that the one with the funny gray marks on top of the RLM 79 sand finish?

(Might be something to this one, found reference that puts units of Zerstoerergeschwader 1 in Montecourvino, might be something to do a little digging on.)

That would be it, will require some touchups. Wonder if anyone might put out one of the Bf 110s with the Iraqi markings.

Were those included in the WMD's that we were looking for in 2003?
