Re: Quiz: Test Your Warbird IQ

You would be correct!! Fairey Fulmars were initially used in small numbers followed by Hurricane Mk 1s (Followed later by some Mk.IAs). They must have been some major brave type pilots for pulling that mission. Launch, fight, and then bail out into the fridged waters of the North Atlantic.

Re: Quiz: Test Your Warbird IQ

This may prove to be somewhat controversial.

During WWII, one source indicates that the Luftwaffe's fighter arm scored 46,000 kills in air combat and over-all, through the entire conflict, held a 2.7 to 1 edge in kill ratios versus Allied pilots on all fronts, including the East. Bearing this in mind, which of these is the most accurate win/loss ratio for the Luftwaffe against the Soviets between 1941 and 1945?

1) 4 to1
2) 6 to 1
3) 8 to 1
4) 10 to 1
5) 15 to 1

Moving this one up from the rear. Anyone care to hazard a guess?
