Lego warbirds!

Seems like a good way to get kids into aviation history.

Re: Lego warbirds!

Ha ha, there brilliant. I would of loved these when I was a kid.

Think these would make cool presents for the younger members of the family and set them on the right path for a interest in aviation.

Re: Lego warbirds!

Perhaps, but with all things Lego. Once you loose the parts to those sets you loose interest. I think my son has received a better understanding by going to the airshow every year. I get alittle choked up at the AT-6 and Stearman fly bys thinking of how much my Grandfather enjoyed those two during his time. I think that emotion pours over to him and sparks his interests.

Re: Lego warbirds!

Way Cool!

I've always said that if I won mega-millions in the lottery, one of the first things I would do would be to take a month off and just play with Legos.

Now I officially have a project. BOOYA!

Re: Lego warbirds!

I have the Lego Sopwith Camel and Wright Flyer... haven't built them yet... I am too busy building Lego Batman and Star Wars with my son, and Lego Harry Potter with my daughters. Anyway you stack Legos, they are loads of fun!

Re: Lego warbirds!

Move over plastic kits!! LOL....My son would love to work on something like that. Beside once you build them, Legos are pretty tough and hard to break Unlike his numerous attempts to fly my 1:32 scale 21st Century planes around the house, these would probably survive the falls and crashes LOL....

Re: Lego warbirds!

My sons are hooked on Lego Star Wars thanks to the video game of the same name. The Star Wars stuff seems to literally fly off of the shelves at my local Target/Wally World/TRU. Then it turns up on e-Bay for big $$ - looks to be a better investment than stocks (or even diecast)!

Anybody know of a good on-line retailer that carries Lego and doesn't charge an arm and a leg? I am looking for some kits from late 2006 - early 2007.
