The Human Fly

Just plane crazy

The Human Fly
, a dare devil/stunt performer named Rick Rojatt, lives out the Marvel Comics character on the back of a DC-8 cruising low at 250 knots, flown by Clay Lacy at the Mojave California 1000 air races. Inscription is from Lacy to Mojave Airport manager Dan Sabovich.

Re: The Human Fly

Well I've flown "stand-by" on many occasions to save a few bucks, but I draw the line at "stand-on".....

Re: The Human Fly

Wasn't it Quantus (sp?) that first offered those seats?

Re: The Human Fly

I prefer to sit in the plane. I heard it's alot less windy inside.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: The Human Fly

I heard of cheap-seats but damn... Bet you don't even get a soda let alone the pretzels or peanuts. Forgot about using the latrine too....unless your wearing one of those astronaut diapers.

Re: The Human Fly

I've heard Clay Lacy talk about this before. The Human Fly approached him and originally wanted to be strapped to the top of a Learjet!

I'd be afraid of a bird strike. I really would.
