Florida Diecast Aviation Forum has shut down

Hello everybody.

First I want to give a big thanks to all who were a part of Florida Diecast Aviation Forums on any & every level.
I met a lot of great people through the forum & made many friends.
I was very proud of the small community that we built & will truly miss it.

It's with much regret that I report the FDA forums are gone.
Many of you know the forum was on a free forum building & hosting service.
As a result FDA faced many challenges in its short life, from down time, loss of data, google ads & spammers.
I kept FDA on the free service because I simply did not have the funds to run a pay site.

Last week FDA's hosting company went down again, but this time the entire FDA forum along with hundreds of other forums was lost permanently.

It upsets me deeply to see the loss of so much hard work both by our members & myself.
I can’t say sorry enough for this unfortunate event.
As of right now I have no plans to rebuild FDA.
With a tight schedule at the airlines & the rest of my time going into my shop I’m unable to start another forum project.

Again I want to thank all who were a part of FDA, your input & personality made it a truly unique & fun place; I will miss every bit of it.

Gerry

P.S. Those who want to get a hold me, you can PM here or through the my shops web page.

Re: Florida Diecast Aviation Forum has shut down

This is truly a sad affair. I have enjoyed countless hours of reading and posting, on a lesser extent, on the FDA forum.

Thanks for all your hard work. I enjoyed the fourm while it lasted.

Sad to see that one go, but also pretty happy to see MH II up and running again.

Geez -- and I thought I was the only one left here interested in 'civies'. Shows what I know, eh? Nice to know others share the interest.

It's all AgentX20's fault. His phabulous photos are luring me to the dark side.
