No but the Navy Lark was about a bungling idiotic crew that couldn't do anything right so you are not far off.

Berthing the ship went like this,
whose turn is it to drive er is it called drive , er no, I think we have to steer it sir.
Ok then , you steer I'll go make the tea.
Sir, yes, but shouldnt you tell me what to do?
Oh alright , right hand down a bit, yeees left hand down a bit, ,,,,,,,,( crash bang), there , near enough , now wheres that tea?
Er sorry sir but chiefy sold it all to those Arabs when we tried to go through the Suez canal.
Ah that explains the camel in the officers mess. never seen a camel in a hammock before, er no sir thats not a camel thats chiefy.

Honest it sounded better on the radio, but you get my gist.
