Re: It is the end of the year vote for your fav diecast company

My favorite diecast company for 2007? I only collect 1/72 WW 2 planes but this should be a simple question of whose models I bought most. That wasn't so hard to figure out. Except the answer surprised me!

I think Gemini (10) and HobbyMaster (4) are consistently good, Dragon (10) is good except for occasional fiddly fits and Corgi (11) is hit or miss. But the most models I bought this year came from......drum roll.......IXO (13)!

Which tells me there is a market for Japanese, Russian, Italian and French airplanes in addition to the "Usual Suspects."

Judging from my pre-orders, next year will be Hobby Master's.

2. Gemini Aces (Especially the P 51 Mustangs)
3. Corgi (Especially the 1/32 Hurricane Night Reaper)

Corgi is my number one for 2007 for giving us the Ju52 & Halifax, yes at times they deserve the flack they get but who else has the courage to issue such a wide variety of heavies in the 1:72 market? & of course they are the only company to produce the Canberra, Hunter, Meteor, Buccaneer & Vampire... honourable mention goes to HM for the 1:48 Spit.

Thumbs up Re: It is the end of the year vote for your fav diecast company

I'm going to have to say Corgi, for their stunning RAF Bomber Command models.
