1:48 Takara Japanese Zero

Takara 1/48 Painted Zero Model 52A A6M5a IJN Fighter - eBay (item 230205068395 end time Jan-18-08 00:59:49 PST)

saw this on Ebay and thought that it looked pretty interesting. It is a plastic model but kind of neat to see the inside of the plane. They also have a Tiger tank built the same way. Anyone seen one of these up close? I will probably pull the trigger on this one just to add something different looking to the collection.

WOW... Great find! That's a super nice looking pre-painted model kit. I might just pull the trigger on that one.

I have been looking for a cutaway Zero for some time now, and hadn't seen Takaras version.. I will give a review when I receive it in a few weeks.. There is another one still available if someone else wants it..

I just hope 7Toys7 can get the boxes right where I get a complete plane!!!

Re: 1:48 Takara Japanese Zero

Those do look interesting -- hard to believe the detail is as good as the pics suggest at that price, so I await your reports :-)

And $40 to ship to the US, for a plastic model -- we've been getting heavy Marushins from Japan for $25 shipping...

If it were a Corsair... I'd pounce!

Mine was $16 to ship, but high shipping is typical for bigger items from HK..
