Secret Agents also fall into a distinctive category. Here, my favorites are the British import, "The Avengers" and "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", the latter only during its first season, before the show turned into a spoof of itself.

I use to watch them as well for a while anyway until i thought they got silly....Meanwhile

Boy, tough to choose. The posts have reminded me about a lot of classic series.

Black Comedy: MASH (mainly the first 5 or 6 years before they all started overacting)
Sitcom: Seinfeld, Get Smart
Drama: Hill Street Blues (a revolutionary series in my opinion)
Mini-Series: Band of Brothers (Honorable Mention: Over There- wish they were still producing this show)
