Re: Which Cat is best?

The new Canadian one (due in 08) in all white is striking too. Still I have the Black Cat and may get Snafu Snatchers, unless the Strawberry one is made. The others I have no interest in, and the SAR multi-colored one is a no go in my fleet.

Shawn 507,
Hey there. I just checked Tricatus's site and that White Catalina looks incredible. I hope it comes equiped with the nose guns. Thanks for the heads up. Black Cat and White Cat, what a pair they will make.

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Which Cat is best?

Hey Dave I have currently 3 Cats and am planning on getting the White Cat when it comes out. The first release Pembroke dock is a nice model, armed up with the noise guns and bombs. The CC Cat with the base makes a nice display plus gives you the option of displaying other Cats, if you get another, in the water. I also got the USAF rescue bird and it is a stunning model with its bright colors, really stands out in a collection. Didn't get the Black Cat, was hoping that Corgi would have made one with a solid nose full of 50's or a couple of 20mm.

Thanks All, ...Rick, you know my problem,.... Modellers Choice has all his Cats on sale. I figured I could pick up a Cat, the CC Wellington, and the Swordfish with the D Day markings. ( Instant CC display) Now you lot have me thinking about 2 cats and forgetting the Wimpie. Damn difficult decision.

Yea, I've thought about it too. I just don't have any supporting aircraft. My Black Cat has a night fighting Hellcat and Avenger as hangar mates.

Re: Which Cat is best?

The Black Cat is the one to go for if possible. The Pembroke Dock version is also worth having. Space is the problem otherwise I'd get them all!

Re: Which Cat is best?

The two that I have are Snafu Snatchers and Blackcat. They are both great. Both are special to me. My best friend's uncle was a black cat aquadron member, and I volunteer at the Air Force Museum which has Snafu Snatchers.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Which Cat is best?

Went up to Modellers Choice today and picked up the Pembroke Cat and the FAA Swordfish with D-Day stripes. They only had 2 of these but they have lots of the "Dingy" cat and the Black cat so I figure I have time to pick up the others.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I figure I can pick up the Black Cat later and use my loyalty points to get the Dingy cat free.

Re: Which Cat is best?

I have SNAFU snatchers and I really like it. I just wish it had some weathering to it.

In looking at the White Cat on tricatus, I like the exhaust stains and what looks like "docking" scrapes on the bottom sides of the plane.
