Re: Of all the planes you guys have.....

I don't think I intentionally collect any one particular plane - I tend to buy what I like AND what I can get at a good price. Tuesday Morning Corgi waves and good prices have naturally lead to Spits and Corsairs dominating my collection. But I DO like both those planes!!! - historically and aesthetically.

I thought you had skunky's gold p 51 to jim

...another masterfully crafted statement, tn!...... .....

Mustangs are the single-most collected diecast for me....however the gold-plated Corgi "special" continues to elude..........darnit all anyway...

Smile Re: Of all the planes you guys have.....

Hi plane folk,

Of all the planes I have, I have about 200 Mustangs or (thereabout) ranging from 1/32 down to 1/300. I'll have to re-count as I added a few more before we moved cross-country. My Exel spreadpage tells me I now have over 1,000 planes. Well, the last one I got was the HM Edwards Test Range F-15 (since I was a controller at an Edwards Test Range I thought it appropriate) and it is fairly heavy. But that one is still missing on the page. I hope everyone else keeps a listing of their planes in some way. Nice to get back to the forum after so long. Take care all and Happy New Year!

Red face Re: Of all the planes you guys have.....

I don't know when last I counted but I think I have in excess of 300 planes. I know I had more than 20 Spitfires and 20 Mustangs.

Unhappy Re: Of all the planes you guys have.....

OF all the planes you guys have, what is the ones you collect most??? I have about 17 me 109's at home and more on the way, so what plane do you like to collect the most off?

Tank nut... - Just about every F-86 Sabre made except for the Japanese JASDF F-86F-40 - still looking for that one, although it's not correct - wrong wings, which is why I didn't bother to pick it up a few years ago or so when it was readily available... Just a few WWII things - just got the Rufe (A6M2-N Zero) Floatplane.
Several MiG-15's and a few MiG-17's, as well. Just about every F-4 Phantom FMA ever made except for the VF-151 Screaming Eagles (early CDC release) F-4 - still looking for that one. Gave up the B11B459 Brit. Ark Royal 892 Sq. FG.1 Phantom - the matte paint and especially the "silvered" decals were absolutely horrible! Sold it. Could've customized it, but then it wouldn't've been stock and valueless as a collector's piece. - JY

Hi model.fanatic & welcome to the forum....... that is one SERIOUS 'hardcore' collection you've got there !!!!!!!

Can only see two 'prop'-driven planes in that lot - BTW, what's the one in front of the Swiss '109 ?????

Is it a Swiss P.51 ?

Then the inevitable question = did you bother buying the F.M./Armour Swiss B.17 ?????????

Hi Hornchurch, happy new year to you!
many thanks for the comment ...
You have a fine eagle eye...both props (and the only ones I got) are as you've mentioned ... swiss 109 and P-51!!
Actually I wanted the B.17 but I'm running out of space... hhmmm guess you know that sort of problem too !!?
(I'm now even selling almost the whole Dragon Warbirds Series in 1/72 and Huge BBI Hornets in 1/18 ...)

Now I'm chasing the FM/Armour Hornets in 1/48 all around the world ... # 35 landed 3 days ago !!
... still missing some of them and it's getting really hard to find the missing ones ...
Anyway, if you know somebody selling this type just let me know, just PM me ..
thanks mucho!
