| Re: Good Luftwaffe books? I really enjoyed Classic Publications Luftwaffe Colours Jagdwaffe series of books. The ones that I've read seem balanced without glorification of "Blonde Knights" and objectivity in terms of analysis of claimed vs. real losses on both sides. Regards, Sergey | |||||||||||||

| Re: Good Luftwaffe books? One of my favorites that is more individual stories of planes/pilots is Janes "Battles with the Luftwaffe" which gives specific stories of bomber crews and the fighter pilots that flew against them.. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Good Luftwaffe books?
This is a good book. Also, for in-depth and balanced views, consider the excellent range of books by Christer Bergstrom (e.g. Barbarossa: The Air Battle and the Black Cross - Red Star series. Luftwaffe over America (Griehl) also has very interesting photos and information on some of the long range aircraft planned and built for the Luftwaffe, including their B29 lookalike. Fighting the Bombers (Ed. Isby) is also very good and incorporates the post-war accounts given by German high ranking POWs during their formal 'interviews' by Allied intelligence/analysis officers. | ||||||||||||||
